late September in 1851. It has a population of 100,000 and is located 150km
north-west of Melbourne on the Calder Highway.

the park.
4. Gold Prospecting. Visit the Golden Dragon Museum or Central
Deborah Gold Mine and relive the days of the gold rush.

6. Tours. Bendigo has many tours incorporating various sightseeing
adventures. From the gold mine to hot air ballooning.

8. Golf. The Bendigo and Neangar Park Golf Courses are only minutes
from our park.
The city of Bendigo has an opulent heritage and features 19th century
'boom town' architecture and the focal point of Bendigo's mall is the
gleaming-white Alexandra Fountain which was established in 1881. The city
is considered one of the most impressive examples of 19th century architecture
in the country.
